Kole Paone (age 6-10) and Ryan Schmidt (11-17) were the final racers standing during the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa. The Jr. Dragster portion of the Division 1 LODRS is sponsored by AA Auto Salvage and Craw’s Racing.
6-10 final: Paone, near lane, had the reaction-time edge, and he used it to best Giulia Held, 9.018 (8.99 dial) to 8.878 (8.90).
11-17 final: Schmidt, near lane, paired a .011 light with an 8.014 (7.90) to turn on the win light against Daniel Spotts, who ran a .093-initiated 7.934 (7.90).
